Chef-Made Bento Delivered in Beverly Hills, and a Chef Who Comes to You
Beverly Hills packs a dense working city into under six square miles, and the way good food actually arrives here has almost nothing to do with restaurants. The office towers along Wilshire between Doheny and Santa Monica Boulevard run on conference room lunches: talent and business management firms, entertainment attorneys, private wealth desks, family offices, all booked into rooms nobody is walking out of midday. Deliveries into those buildings go through a lobby desk or a service alley behind Brighton Way and Dayton Way, not through a Rodeo Drive front door. North of Santa Monica Boulevard the pattern flips. The Flats, Trousdale Estates, and the Beverly Hills Post Office addresses climbing Benedict Canyon and Coldwater Canyon are staffed households, and the person placing the order is usually a house manager working a calendar rather than a host booking a one-off.
Wafu Bento does two different things in this city, and they are not the same purchase.
We deliver chef-made Japanese bento boxes to Beverly Hills addresses Tuesday through Saturday, individually portioned, at a $20 flat fee with no order minimum. And we cater private omakase events, where our chef travels to your address and serves a multi-course progression there, priced at $4,000 to $8,000 per event with a menu rebuilt from scratch every single time.
Wafu Bento is a ghost kitchen. There is no dining room, no counter, and no walk-in service anywhere in the operation. Every Beverly Hills order arrives at your door, your lobby, or your gate, or is collected by prior arrangement at our Gardena pickup point.
Which One Do You Need?
Two different purchases live on this page. Read down your column.
| Bento box delivery | Private omakase catering | |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | Individually portioned Japanese bento boxes, made in our kitchen and delivered sealed to your address. Nobody from Wafu stays. | An event. Our chef travels to your address and serves a coursed omakase progression there. This is the come-to-you version, not a private room at a restaurant. |
| Who it is for | Offices on Wilshire and Santa Monica Boulevard, house managers running a standing household order, anyone sending a gift box across town. | Hosts in the Flats, Trousdale Estates, and above Sunset. Firms entertaining clients in their own space rather than a booked venue. |
| Typical occasion | Conference room lunch, deal-close thank-you, listing gift, a Tuesday that repeats every Tuesday. | Milestone birthday, engagement or anniversary dinner, deal-close dinner, firm client entertaining, holiday hosting. |
| Where it happens | Wherever you tell us to leave it: lobby desk, suite, gate, motor court. | Your dining room, your terrace, or private office or club space you control. Never at a Wafu Bento location. |
| Price shape | Per box. Premium boxes run around $200, with a value line around $70. $20 flat delivery, no order minimum. | Per event. $4,000 to $8,000, quoted whole rather than per head, because the menu does not exist yet on the day you book. No delivery fee applies to an event. |
| When it happens | Tuesday through Saturday only, on a morning cutoff, with a minimum of 1 day advance past it. | Any day of the week. Omakase events are scheduled for your date and are not bound by the bento delivery calendar. |
| How it is booked | Ordered online ahead of the date, or collected order-ahead in Gardena. | Booked as an event: your date, headcount, address with access details, and every allergy at the table. |
Short version: bento when the meeting needs feeding, omakase when the dinner is the point of the evening. They run on separate calendars and separate rules.
Bento Box Delivery in Beverly Hills

| Delivery window | 11:30am to 7:00pm |

Also the Beverly Hills Post Office addresses up Benedict Canyon and Coldwater Canyon, which carry a Beverly Hills mailing address while sitting outside city limits. |
| Nearest pickup point | Gardena, order ahead only, no walk-ins |
| The drive, honestly | Gardena sits roughly 16 miles south. Off peak, the 405 north to the Santa Monica Boulevard exit is a straightforward run. At 8am or 5pm it is not, which is why delivery is the default in this city. |
| Also served | All of Los Angeles County, Orange County, and San Diego County |
Getting into the building, and through the gate
Two things slow a Beverly Hills drop more than traffic does.
The first is tower access. Most of the Wilshire and Santa Monica Boulevard office buildings route food through a lobby desk or a loading dock off the rear alley, so give us a suite number, a recipient name, and a callback contact at checkout. Curb space in the Golden Triangle compounds it: the block faces on Rodeo, Beverly, Canon, Bedford, and Camden are valet and meter heavy, with almost no room to stage a vehicle.
The second is the opposite problem, north of Santa Monica Boulevard. Gated motor courts in Trousdale Estates and the Flats, and long private drives off Benedict Canyon and Coldwater Canyon, are where deliveries lose time, and it is never the driving that costs it. A gate code or a house manager’s name in the order notes turns a ten minute wait into a thirty second handoff.
Pickup from Gardena is genuinely useful in one case: you are already heading into the South Bay or toward LAX and can collect on the way. It is order ahead only, so the order has to be placed and confirmed before you drive.
Five boxes that fit how this city orders
We make ten boxes. Five of them map onto the three ways Beverly Hills tends to order: the conference room lunch, the gift, and the standing household delivery. Every box is individually portioned, which is why the same lineup works for a full boardroom and for a single box going to one desk.
- Jewelry Box is the gifting format. When a firm on Wilshire or a brokerage on Santa Monica Boulevard sends a thank-you, the presentation has to do the talking at the reception desk before anyone opens it.
- Wagyu Uni Bento is the top of the menu, and it is what gets ordered for the conference room lunch where the meeting actually matters.
- Premium Bento is the standing-order workhorse. Households in the Flats and Trousdale Estates that run a weekly delivery build around this box, and so do offices repeating the same Tuesday order.
- Traditional Chirashi is the clean single serving. It eats well at a desk on Brighton Way or in a boardroom with nothing but a napkin, which matters when there is no room to set out a spread.
- Kyoto Style Temari is small format and visually composed, built for at-home hosting north of Sunset where guests are grazing and standing rather than sitting to a plated course.
Standing weekly office orders
Firms along Wilshire and Santa Monica Boulevard that feed the same room on the same day every week can run a standing weekly order rather than rebuilding it each time. It travels on the same calendar as everything else: Tuesday through Saturday, $20 flat delivery. Ask about the terms when you set one up.
Private Omakase Catering in Beverly Hills
In Beverly Hills, the dinner that matters usually does not happen in a restaurant. It happens at a house, and the reason is almost always privacy. A deal that closed on Canon Drive, a partner at a Wilshire firm hosting clients, a family marking a milestone without a phone pointed at the table: none of them want a dining room where the next table can hear the conversation. So the table stays home, and the kitchen travels to it.
That is exactly what this service is. Our chef comes to your address and serves the omakase progression there. There is no Wafu Bento room to book, no counter to sit at, and no private dining suite anywhere in the operation.
The four kinds of rooms this city gives us
The Flats. Flat lots, formal dining rooms, and a real catering kitchen or butler’s pantry in most of the older houses. The easiest configuration we work in, and the one that suits a seated, coursed dinner best.
Trousdale Estates. Mid-century plans built around a view, so the entertaining space is usually one long indoor-outdoor run to a terrace rather than a closed dining room. Guests move. That favors a paced sequence where courses land in waves.
Benedict Canyon and Coldwater Canyon. Long private drives, motor courts, and the Beverly Hills Post Office addresses that carry a Beverly Hills mailing address while sitting up the canyon. More room, more property, and the most involved arrival of the four.
The Wilshire and Santa Monica Boulevard corridor. Condo residences and private office and club space used for client entertaining. Buildings, not houses, which means a service entrance, a freight elevator reservation, a certificate of insurance on file with building management, and a hard stop on building service hours.
What the room and the city actually need to supply
Access beats distance every time. Gardena is our closest operating point, roughly sixteen miles south, by the 405 north to Santa Monica Boulevard or the 110 north to the 10 west and up La Cienega or Robertson. We build the arrival backward from the seating time you give us. What decides whether that works is a gate code, a house manager’s name, or a front desk expecting us.
Kitchen and counter. A working surface and sink access matter more than square footage. The Flats houses generally have a butler’s pantry or catering kitchen that handles it without thinking about it. Trousdale terraces and canyon properties usually stage off an island or an outdoor counter, which is fine when we know it in advance.
Curb space and permit parking. Rodeo, Beverly, Canon, Bedford, and Camden leave almost no staging room, and Beverly Hills enforces its residential permit parking. Tell us where a vehicle can legitimately sit for the load-in.
Buildings need lead time, not just permission. If the event is in a condo or office space on Wilshire or Santa Monica Boulevard, tell us the service entrance, whether the freight elevator needs to be booked, and what time building services shut. Where a building requires any of the three, it wants the answer before the day, not at the dock.
Noise rules are real and enforced here. Beverly Hills is not a lenient city about late outdoor sound. If the evening runs on a terrace in Trousdale Estates or above Sunset, plan the last course earlier than you would elsewhere. It does not change the food. It changes when guests are still standing outside with it.
Who books it here
House managers and estate managers north of Sunset, working from a calendar rather than an impulse. They already know the gate code, where a caterer stages, and what time guests actually sit down as opposed to what time the invitation says. When that person is on the phone, a booking takes one call. The rest of the city’s event calendar is business shaped: talent and business management firms, entertainment attorneys, private wealth desks, and family offices, whose client entertaining concentrates hard into late spring and the weeks before the holidays.
What $4,000 to $8,000 means, and what moves it
Pricing runs $4,000 to $8,000 per event. What moves a booking inside that band is not a negotiation tactic: it is headcount, the number of courses, and the fish. A smaller dinner on a shorter progression sits at the bottom of the range. A larger canyon evening with a longer sequence, weighted toward the top of what the market has that week, sits at the top of it.
Two things worth saying plainly to a buyer comparing options. First, this is not a per-head catering menu with a printed tier chart, because the menu does not exist yet when you book. Second, the range is the range. It is the same $4,000 to $8,000 in Beverly Hills as it is in every other city we cater in, and where a booking sits inside it is set by headcount, courses, and fish rather than by the address.
Tell us the headcount and the room and we will tell you honestly whether the format works.
The menu is rebuilt for every single event
This is the part worth being exact about. There is no fixed omakase menu at Wafu Bento and no standing catering sheet. Every event gets its own progression, built around what is genuinely good that week and around what is at your table: the allergies, the guest who does not eat shellfish, the one who has had uni forty times and the one who never has.
The practical consequence for a Beverly Hills host who entertains the same circle repeatedly: booking us twice in a year does not mean serving the same dinner twice. In a city this small, that is the point.
Events are booked and scheduled individually for your date. None of the bento delivery rules apply to an omakase event: no Tuesday through Saturday limit, no order cutoff, and no $20 delivery fee. Our chef went full time on July 1, 2026. Full format detail lives on the private omakase experience page.
Beverly Hills Proof
Beverly Hills FAQ
Delivery: Do you deliver bento boxes to Beverly Hills?
Yes. We deliver to every Beverly Hills address, including the Wilshire and Santa Monica Boulevard office corridor, the Golden Triangle, the Flats, Trousdale Estates, and Beverly Hills Post Office addresses on Benedict Canyon and Coldwater Canyon. Wafu Bento is a ghost kitchen, so there is no dining room and no walk-in service.
Delivery: What days do you deliver, and how far ahead do I need to order?
We deliver Tuesday through Saturday and do not deliver Sunday or Monday, with one exception: a large pre-order can be accommodated on either day with 2 to 3 days notice. Anything placed after the morning cutoff shown in the delivery table above needs a minimum of 1 day advance and moves to the next delivery day, so an order placed on a Sunday goes out Tuesday at the earliest.
Delivery: Is there a delivery fee or an order minimum in Beverly Hills?
Delivery is a $20 flat fee anywhere in the city and there is no order minimum, so a single box is a valid order. Standing weekly office orders are available for firms along Wilshire and Santa Monica Boulevard. Ask about the terms when you book one.
Delivery: Can I pick up my order instead of having it delivered?
Yes, by order ahead only. The nearest pickup point to Beverly Hills is Gardena, roughly 16 miles south by the 405 or the 110. There are no walk-ins at any pickup point, so the order has to be placed and confirmed before you drive.
Private omakase: Does the chef come to my Beverly Hills home?
Yes. That is what the service is. Our chef travels to your address and serves the omakase progression there, whether that is a dining room in the Flats, a terrace in Trousdale Estates, or private office or club space along Wilshire. Events are scheduled for your date and are not limited to the Tuesday through Saturday bento delivery calendar.
Private omakase: How much does a private omakase dinner in Beverly Hills cost?
$4,000 to $8,000 per event. Where a booking lands inside that range depends on headcount, the number of courses, and the fish selected for your date. There is no per-head price list, because the menu is written for your event rather than chosen from a fixed set, and the range is the same in Beverly Hills as it is anywhere else we cater.
Private omakase: Is the menu the same every time?
No. The menu is rebuilt for every single event. It is written around what is genuinely good that week and around the table in front of us, including every allergy and restriction you give us. In a city this small, where the same circle sees each other repeatedly, booking twice in a year does not mean serving the same dinner twice.
Both services: Can we come to you instead?
No. Wafu Bento is a ghost kitchen with no dining room, no counter, and no walk-in service at any location. Bento is delivered or collected by prior arrangement at our Gardena pickup point, and private omakase is catered at your space.
